Integrated Management Systems - QEH&S
Ann W. Phillips

Why this Seminar?

Many companies are faced with implementing an environmental management system (EMS) that meets the requirements of ISO 14001.  Most of these companies have an existing quality management system (QMS) in place (e.g., meeting the requirements of ISO 9001).  These companies recognize the similarities between the two standards.  These companies also may be considering an Occupational Health and Safety Management System based on OHSA’s 18001.  Maintaining multiple systems to accomplish similar goals is neither cost effective nor practical in today’s business environment.  Integrating these systems, where appropriate, substantially reduces the cost and often improves the effectives of the integrated system.  This seminar provides practical guidelines on integration, as well as strategies to make integration work in the organization.

Audience

This seminar is designed for quality, environmental, and occupational health and safety professionals who have been tasked with integrating the organization’s management systems.  The seminar also is appropriate for top management personnel who are exploring the cost benefits of system integration.
